Definition of rosaries
A rosary is a necklace originally made of seeds then later of pearls. A classical rosary is composed of 5 series of 10 seeds separated with a bigger seed. The pendant has 3 seeds. The necklace is closed by a heart medal with a figure or ornementation. The pendant is endend with a cross or a crucifix. A rosary is used for the prayer according the following rule :
- small seed for Ave Maria
- bigger seed is for Pater ended with Gloria Patri.
A french rosaire also called Patenotre is a big rosary composed of 3 regular size rosairies.
